At the Exhibition, we’ll be showcasing MEMS performance advantages found in our latest Tactical Grade Quartz MEMS Inertial Systems product extensions specifically optimized for flight control, GPS-denied guidance and navigation for air, land and sea and compact EO/IR gimbaled systems.  SDI’s full product line of precision Quartz MEMS sensors and systems has recently expanded and improved with the introduction of the:

•             SDI505 – A small form factor, six degree of freedom inertial measurement unit (IMU).  The SDI505 IMU integrates SDI’s latest generation quartz gyros, quartz accelerometers and high speed digital signal processing (including new data Time of Validity Sync) into a modular, compact 19 in3, providing for maximum flexibility in densely packaged gimbal systems.  The EO/IR optimized SDI505 IMU delivers full temp-range bias performance under 1°/hr and 1 milli-g and offers exceptional low ARW (.02√/rt-hr) and VRW (80µg/rt-hz) performance to capture clear, jitter free images.  The SDI505 IMU delivers a clear SWaPC advantage over alternative RLG, FOG or SiMEMS IMU’s.

•             SDN500 – A small form factor, six degree of freedom inertial measurement system with GPS tightly-coupled via Kalman filter, SDN500 provides position, velocity and attitude suitable and will navigate accurately during periods of GPS drop-out.  A tactical-grade system, SDN500 is highly suited for guidance, navigation and control of UAVs and other unmanned vehicles.  Exceptionally low angle random walk (ARW) gyro noise and velocity random walk (VRW) accelerometer noise make the SDN500 ideal for camera stabilization, targeting/positioning, and pointing/geo-location.  The SDN500 is also available in a SAASM Anti-Jam GPS configuration.

•             SDD3000 - The SDD3000 meets requirements for state-of-the-art systems featuring unmatched MEMS angular rate sensing accuracy and low noise with a digital RS-232 / RS-422 output.  The SDD3000 offers performance rivaling spinning mass gyro technology and RLG/FOG systems with the size and durability advantages inherent in MEMS technology.  The SDD3000 provides a temperature-compensated output with unprecedented bias stability.  Ideal for rugged ground vehicle and aerospace applications, the SDD3000 is an extremely versatile rate gyro that can be quickly integrated into new or retrofit applications.
